This chair is made of: Cold-injected foam with inner steel tube frame and alastic webbing for back support. The covering material is coupled with polyester wadding. Established in 1983, Segis immediately succeeded as a quality and design oriented company. This attitude, together with a strong commercial dynamism, an extraordinary technological know-how, and an absolute quality care, allowed the company a fast growth and a stable international success. These achievement driven by the devotion, courage and intuition of Franco Dominici, company founder and managing director, have brought Segis along the difficult pathway to design excellence. Segis offers pleasant and elegant products, designed for an educated and demanding consumer, made with quality materials and avant-garde technologies: products granting high quality standards, original design and competitive pricing. That is exactly the company's mission, making beauty affordable to all consumers. The art direction is held by Carlo Bartoli, who coordinates the creativity of internationally renowned designers. The whole product range, including seating, tables and upholstered goods is positioned on the high market segment and is successfully distributed worldwide either in the contract and the residential market. In 1999 Delight was born, a brand offering a collection of accessories for the contract market, remarkably complementary to Segis products: umbrella stands, coat hangers, dividing panels, bookshelves, communication systems, display units and other useful accessories that tastefully meet all the furnishing needs of working places. The last (so far) tessera of the mosaic is Multipla, a dynamic company from Friuli (North-Eastern Italy), specializing in wooden seating. Thanks to this last aquisition, Franco Dominici grants to his group of companies a complete offer, ranging over metal, wood and plastics with countless combinations. The growing importance of these companies on the market is shown not only by the sales increase, but by prestigious international awards and outstanding accounts . To complete this first stage of the journey, Segis acquired and restored a large display space in central Milan: an ideal showroom for the products of the three brands and a stage for several cultural events that perfectly match the Milan design performance calender. This prestigious display in the heart of Milan's design district confirms the sensitivity of Segis to the communication and image needs of any modern enterprise, placing a flagship store in an internationally strategic location. Segis, Delight and Multipla, three dynamic companies complementing each other, capable of meeting any requirement for seating, tables, upholstered goods and accessories. Three collections featuring different products and materials yet joined by the same dedication to quality, design and competitive price levels. Three brands allowing customers of the group an easy movement between metal tables and seating, metal and thermoplastic products, upholstered sofas and armchairs, wooden tables and seating, everything with the absolute warranty of the same quality and design care. Three brands interconnected to share in a synergic way an unparalleled technological know-how and an efficient and widespread distribution. According to Segis philosophy, quality is not to declare, but rather to be granted through a reliable certification process, involving independent institutes and laboratories of unquestionable impartiality, officially recognized and credited by most governmental authorities of the western world. Therefore Segis had its quality system officially certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001 -2000 standards and its environment care system certified according to UNI EN ISO 14001 - 04 standards. Both Certifications have been issued by ICILA, a leading Institute for the certification concerning the furniture industry and further warranty of reliability. Segis is moreover achieving the certification for the ethical control of its activity, according to SA 8000 standards. Product certifications are not less important of the company ones, and Segis has an unparalleled record on this issue. All products, in fact, must underpass a tough in-house test routine during the product development stage and then, before their launch on the market, they pass a further durability and resistance test program performed by official test laboratories in the European Union and United States.
