In 1981, in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland, cousins Willi Glaeser and Otto Glaeser added their initials to the now internationally-known furniture brand: they made plans to establish Wogg. Wogg made its first appearance on the Swiss market in 1983, with a range of 7 new products. At the outset, the vision was to develop an independent range of furniture and to manufacture and sell this under a new brand name. The Âpostforming technique had been developed from 1972 on onwards, at joinery Glaeser AG under the management of Willi Glaeser. In the early days of Wogg, this provided the basis for product development. By 1984, just one year after its establishment, WoggÂs furniture concepts were recognised and sold around the world. Since then, Wogg has been represented at numerous trade fairs in Milan (Italy), Cologne (Germany) and Courtrai (Belgium) as well as innumerable exhibitions. Wogg products are now sold throughout central Europe, North and South America, Australia and the Far East, with Japan (7% share) making a substantial contribution to Wogg sales. A total of 30 products have been developed at Wogg since 1983. Each and every product contains at least one innovation. Wogg innovations encompass the areas of wood, synthetic resin, metal and man-made materials processing, functionality and design as well as various production techniques and processes. Innovation is the core value of the Wogg company and brand name. In the same period of time, 14 Wogg products have been awarded 25 different design prizes and awards  WoggÂs excellent design is recognised around the world. The current range comprises 19 different products, which meet the needs of private living and working as well as companies and institutions.
